Sauna Purchase Checklist

What to Prepare Before Purchasing Your Sauna

Investing in a sauna is an exciting step toward enhanced wellness and relaxation. To ensure a smooth delivery, installation, and long-term satisfaction, here are a few key things to prepare before placing your order:

1. Choose the Right Location

  • Indoor or outdoor? Decide where your sauna will be installed.

  • Ensure the area is flat, level, and has adequate ventilation.

  • For outdoor saunas, make sure the surface is water-draining (e.g., pavers, concrete, deck).

2. Know Your Power Requirements

  • Check whether the sauna model requires standard 10A, 15A, or hardwired electrical connections.

  • Ensure a licensed electrician is available if your model needs special wiring (most electric heaters do).

3. Measure Your Space

  • Carefully measure your space and compare with the sauna’s external dimensions listed on the product page.

  • Allow extra clearance for door opening, airflow, and assembly access.

4. Understand Local Regulations

  • For outdoor saunas, check if your local council requires approvals or permits.

  • In some cases, plumbing, zoning, or fire regulations may apply (especially for wood-burning heaters).

5. Delivery Access

  • Ensure there’s clear access for delivery and movement of large crates or panels to your installation site.

  • Notify us in advance if your site includes stairs, narrow pathways, or remote locations, so we can assist accordingly.

6. Installation Plan

  • Decide whether you’ll be installing it DIY or prefer to hire a professional.

  • All saunas come with assembly manuals—some models may require 2 people and take several hours to assemble.

2. What electrical requirements do I need for your saunas ?

Depending on the size and type of sauna you plan on purchasing, different electrical requirements will be needed.
If you opt for a traditional model, you need to prepare 220v socket with 40AMPS in advance. All of our traditional sauna heaters /steamers are hardwired and must be connected directly to the electrical line.
If you opt for an infrared sauna, you need to prepare 220v hard wires breaker with 20AMPS in advance. If you opt for a dual-system model, you need to prepare 220v socket with 30AMPS in advance.
Since the specific power of each sauna is different, the above values are for reference only. If you want to know the accurate value, you need to divide the power of the sauna you purchased by the voltage to get the current value of the circuit breaker.
